Tell The Truth Tuesday

1. Every day this week I've put on work out clothes fully intending to actually work out. Sadly, the most athletic thing I end up doing all day is shoveling leftover pumpkin pie into my mouth. So basically, I've been walking around looking like someone who lives in her car and smells of sweaty socks and pumpkin. Sexy.

2. In semi-related news, I purchased two maternity shirts at Target. I'm not pregnant.

3. We've gotten a little bit of a hint about the cover for our SohoTeen book due out in July and HOLY CRAP. It's kind of amazing. We can't wait to be able to share it with you guys.

4. I believe in ghosts.

5. I stopped watching the Vampire Diaries. I just got kind of bored with the whole thing. Elana as a vampire was kind of lame and I seriously can't fathom why she stays with Stephan. Boo.

What's your truth this Tuesday? Spill it in the comments!

Dude, you need to be watching the Vampire Diaries this week. Spoiler alert: Stephan broke it off with Elena because she's grooving on his brother (which we all knew). I agree I got tired of this season, I thought her turning would be so much cooler. But I have high hopes for a steamy Elena/Damon scene this week. HIGH HOPES.

1) I've come to realize that I'm pretty much madly in love with every character Laini Taylor has ever created. Male or female. Humanoid or not. Well, except for the Wolf. Ain't touching the Wolf with a ten foot pole.

2) Even though part of my life is really unhappy at the moment, some of my writing has been awesome.

3) I've stopped even reading posts that start with sentences like 'Exciting news...' because right at this point in my world, I don't want to hear who got lucky, what sort of connection with an agent/publisher/book deal was made. Because I'm flat out on my face in those areas (for now) and while I'm persevering, I just can't handle the stampede of others' success. I'm supper happy for them (dead honest, I am) and I'll buy their books. I just don't want to read about the squeeing.

4) I'm scared to start querying again, so I keep putting it off. I don't think my fear of rejection is very valid, but I know that I'm not very emotionally stable right now and just one rejection will make me cry. So I keep not sending anything, then being grumpy that I haven't sent anything. This leads me to declare myself a hot mess and prescribe chocolate, scotch and more chocolate until I find an even keel again.

1) I have one reason for watching TVD and it has nothing to do with plot.
2) I bought new workout clothes but I really, really don't want to use them. Maybe I'll tell everyone I AM pregnant.

I do the same thing with the workout clothes. It's like my brain still thinks 'it's the thought that counts' and that the intention to workout is almost as good as actually working out. *sigh*

Also, The Vampire Diaries IS taking some interesting turns...

When I entered the PE assignment for Tuesday (I'm homeschooled, so I have to fill out the logs and stuff and send them to my teacher), I may have exaggerated a little. As in, did 15 minutes of PE and said I did 30. But in my defense, Northwest Ohio is freezing in November, and I had a TON of other school to do.

What's this SohoTeen book you speak of?

Don't call this a comeback

So it’s been a minute. Or 10. Or truthfully more like 2,102,400. At least we think that’s how many minutes there are in 3 years, but let...
