1. I was up until 1:30 AM last night finishing up some actual work for my actual day job. Bet you forgot I even had one of those, didn't you?
2. It took me 20 minutes to muster up the energy to remove myself from my bed.
3. Today was supposed to be my first day of vacation, but someone scheduled a meeting at 11:30.
4. So, like any good employee, I'll take an hour out of my vacay for one last meeting.
5. But first, I'm crawling right back into bed for a long, long morning nap.
What's your truth this Tuesday?

Truth: Baby didn't sleep from 1-6 a.m. and I only have CAFFEINE FREE Diet Pepsi in the fridge! *hates life*
Today and tomorrow are my first days off in a row where I haven't had to go to work or school or any other obligation. I had big plans of sleeping in until 7, working out, getting the house cleaned, and blah blah blah.
So far it's 11:15, I have a towel on my head, I've ate two pieces of chocolate, and just got dressed.
Everyone in my family is on vacation except for me until Thursday afternoon.
I may have freaked a little over the condition of my house last night, declared a full on Mom Strike, and went to bed early.
I'm non exempt, so I don't do a damn thing for my company without OT. Still, I hope one day to sell enough of something - books, drugs, my body - to be able to leave the soul-sucking day job industry.
I'm mega-tired lately. Still have 9 weeks to go. Ugh. I've been taking short naps every day but they aren't helping any. *cries* I'm never gonna get enough sleep!
My truth? Instead of conferencing with my students today during reading, I planned out a unit for after the break. Shhhh!
My truth: This is still a full week of work for me, but I think my brain has already checked out.
1. I haven't had a full night of sleep since September.
2. Lack of sleep has made me slightly crazy and maybe a smidge dramatic.
3. I am super excited about Livi's First Christmas.
4. I am already drinking bowls of wine at night as I prep for Christmas with the inlaws and talk myself down from the invisible ledge I've built.
5. I had no idea you got a job, although I knew you were looking and expect you to email me whenever you have time with an update on your life.
