Don't call this a comeback
So it’s been a minute. Or 10. Or truthfully more like 2,102,400. At least we think that’s how many minutes there are in 3 years, but let...

Just imagine if they were actors.
Ugh. Matthew, you said what we were all trying not to think. :P
;)
Oh, hell no.
I was seriously considering posting about this today. Should have known you would beat me to it. I went with the Evolution of the American Stick Family.ha
I think if your kid is big enough to unbutton your shirt when he wants a drink...you might want to call it a day.
I agree with Marsha.
I really doubt that a 3 year old needs this nutritionally -- in this day and age. Breast feeding a child this old is more about the mom's needs than the child's needs, imo. This is a blatant "look at me" thing. Otherwise she wouldn't have agreed to the photo.
lol Marsha. Totally. You can tell they're really bonding there too [insert sarcasm]. I'm sure it was just to get the shot but I love how he's standing on a stool and she's just standing there while he nurses. o.O

Agreeing with you Marsha and Dianne. Everyone on twitter was freaking out about this yesterday, and I started to roll my eyes about more hate on breastfeeding ... until I saw the picture. I have trouble buying that kid is 3. I also can't help but think how mortified that kid will be 15 years from now when someone does a retrospective "where are they now?" about this kid from the TIME cover. It happened with the kid from Nirvana's Nevermind whose wang we've all seen for two decades now.
It bugs me that this topic has gotten wider attention because I think breastfeeding through age 1 is important, and this kind of brings the shame factor out that I think isn't needed now. ERGGH.
I was just thinking about that movie Grown Ups and the kid that they had do this in the movie. That was comedy,s o maybe this will all end up being a joke after all?
Best comment about this yet! Thanks for the laugh and vehement head shake (that should burn some calories, yes?)!

I heard about this on the radio yesterday, but I hadn't seen it yet... Ugh. Now I wish I had something to erase the image. At least the DJs got some mileage out of it - they were photoshopping other people into the pic.
