LiLa in Training...

It's Monday. I'm hormonal and sweltering (for some reason my husband has turned our air conditioning off....WTF???), so this post is going to get a little mushy.

Deal with it.

Laura had a wedding this weekend, so we were lucky enough to watch Lydia for the night. For the first time EVER Lydia and Mia actually played together. I mean, sure they spend excessive amounts of time hanging out while Laura and I film vlogs and eat Twizzlers, but we've never really seen them play with each other.

Until now.

Watching Mia and Lydia bond this weekend reminded me so much of how Laura, Stacey and I grew up together. As they laughed, sang songs from The Glee soundtrack, danced to Yo Gabba Gabba, fought over toys, and had random conversations about princess shoes, I couldn't help but wonder what they'll be like in twenty years. Will they be besties? Will they hate each other? Will they still discuss the merits of princess shoes?

And of course a big part of me wonders....Will they design gorgeous stationary? Will they read our books? Will they write their own?

I have no idea. But I'm excited to find out.

Awe, that is a great pic! I'm so jealous that you and your sister not only live within distance of eachother, but also have this tight relationship AND can share something like writing. My sisters and their kids (who are the same age as mine) are an ocean apart and I sometimes wish we were closer so that our kids could form the same bonds we had in childhood. *sigh* Now who's mushy?

This is pretty awesome, and they are ADORABLE, but who's Stacey?

Isn't it sweet to be able to look back at our lives through the little ones now? Yeah, sisters...I didn't have one. Sucks. But, I did/do have the bestest girlfriend ever.

That is so so cute and I cracked up at Matthew asking, "Who is Stacey?"

Ha!

Matthew, she is only the THIRD and REAL Roecker sister and Stationary Diva Extraordinaire!!!

And no doubt, as cool and fun as her two sisters :)

Awe, so cute! Love their dresses! It is great that they are growing up together so you will find out. Not to soon because that means you would be like what, unknown age we can't discuss? Ugh! Yeah, let's not go there.

They sang to Glee! Yup, they are going to be something lol.

FYI~I'm having a pay it forward event dedicated to the fab LiLa duo! Thanks for a critique ;)

They are precious and there is nothing like a cousin! I have 27 first cousins and we, as grown adults mind you, chant, "Cousins! Cousins! Cousins!" every time a large group of us have gathered. It's inspiring in a very dorky way.

Cousins rule!

I sooooooooo wish I had a sister to have random conversations about princess shoes with. :) That's an adorable picture, too!
(P.S. You have my upmost sympathy for the lack of AC!)

I love the matching dresses! I wonder the same thing about my little girls too. I hope they'll be besties even after they grow up!

Love the pic!

I was lucky enough to grow up with my sister as my best friend too - we're still super tight.

My kids (boy & girl) are still very good friends - and they're friends with their cousins. I hope it continues through their lifetimes. It's a very special bond.

B'awwww, your kids are so pretty and cute. I love my cousins, even though they are far away and I rarely get to see them. Something about how it's way easier to get along with your cousins than your siblings, I guess.

Cute pic! My awesome sister lives nearby and my youngest son (4) adores her daughter (5). Watching the two of them play brings my sister & I great joy, though we do occasionally wonder when we should break it to the kids that cousins can't marry :)

Aww adorable girls ;o)

My sister and I have had our ups and downs, we're 12 years apart, but I couldn't imagine life without her. She's my best friend! It'll be interesting to see where she is when she's my age ;o)

Great Post!

Awwww. I love watching my son play with his cousin. Their conversations are just adorable, even when they are fighting. (She's a girl, so there's some compromise involved in play topics. "This is the princess!." "And this dinosaur is shooting at her! Ch! Ch! Ch!")

Don't call this a comeback

So it’s been a minute. Or 10. Or truthfully more like 2,102,400. At least we think that’s how many minutes there are in 3 years, but let...
