Tell the Truth Tuesday: The WriteOnCon Edition

Truth #1: We're exhausted and quasi-terrified of moderating the livestream workshops on Wednesday and Thursday.

Truth #2: I know you're sick of hearing it, but WriteOnCon is made of win. Please go check it out today! We promise you won't be disappointed.

Truth #3: My favorite moment of Entourage this season so far is when Jeremy Piven referred to LiLo as Blohan. Awesome.

Truth #4: This might be one of the most informative publishing vlogs of all time. Check it out here.

Truth #5: Joanna Volpe is one of our favorite people on the planet. This awesome query critique is one of the many reasons she rocks.

What's your truth this Tuesday? We're hoping to get lots of confessions about people attending WriteOnCon instead of working....

Oh man I wish I didn't have to work. It's killing me. Thank goodness you people are kind enough to archive all of it for us working stiffs.

I'm so excited for the conference. Thanks for all the hard work you have been, and will, put in it <3

My truth for today? I'm hitting the gym for the first time in months -- and I'm in painnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

My Truth? I'm driving my family crazy every hour by rushing to the computer and shouting, "Back in fifteen minutes, guys, the next part of WriteOnCon is up!" :)

1. I can't make it to WriteOnCon. Just can't. Work, houseguest, kids' bdays, etc. Can't do it.

3. Pity, 'cause I feel as though I'm losing out on a chance to shock and alienate a few agents before I even get to the querying stage.

9. I get most of my pop culture news from your blog. You should be proud.

27. It's more fun working out with a vodka-on-the-rocks close at hand. True story.

81. Work has a way of harshing my mellow. Usually before 8 am.

243. I try to counteract this by OOH SHINY!

729. Um, I guess I'm easily distracte--

To: Lisa, Laura and the rest of the "Write On Con" Gang,

I'm really excited for the conference to get going. I know you're all pretty discouraged right now after all the work you've done and now to have this little "blip" happen. But don't worry guys...we're all professionals by now, and we realize that these things happen.

After all, it's "Murphy's Law" (poor Murphy!) and we've all had things like this happen to us at one time or another, too.

Just remember: we're behind you, 100% and we know how much work you've put into this conference. We really appreciate it, too.

So, don't forget: we're rooting for you and everything will turn out fine! Don't forget that!

*Hugs and Prayers*

I am excited, but, but, but (and now my voice quivers and a tear makes a slow descent down my face), I CAN'T ACCESS THE CONFERENCE! I know it will get fixed, but oh so sad in the meantime.

Work? What work? I glanced at all the posts so far and it looks great! Can't wait to read them all when I get home!

Don't call this a comeback

So it’s been a minute. Or 10. Or truthfully more like 2,102,400. At least we think that’s how many minutes there are in 3 years, but let...
