Tell the Truth Tuesday

Our truth this Tuesday: We have absolutely no idea how we're going to get everything done before we leave for the beach on Friday.

Yowsers.

So in lieu of yet another post about how overwhelmed we are, we're sending you over to the blog of our fabulously talented agent mate, Stasia Kehoe. Stasia's YA verse novel, AUDITION, is being published by Viking next year (see, I told you she's fabulous AND talented) and she's doing this cool blog series where she interviews writing partners and guess who's up this week? That's right, US! We're even giving away some fun LIAR SOCIETY swag, so be sure to follow Stasia's blog and leave a comment.

Oh and don't forget to tell us your truth this Tuesday in the comments. Misery loves company, so feel free to bitch and moan right along with us.

First! (Unless someone pips me at the line while I'm typing.)

Truth #1: I think folk who crow about being the first commenter on a popular blog are douches.

Truth #2: Twitter has conditioned me to expect anything after a # sign to be a blue, clickable link. (I may have a Twitter problem.)

Truth #3: You don't pass through the Philly area on the way to NC, do you? You should stop by for hot dogs and vodka and such. Not you, Lisa. You can have hot dogs and water. :P

Truth #4: Yes, I realize a question doesn't count as a truth. What of it?

Truth #5: Damn. That was another question, wasn't it?

Truth #6: GAH! I can't stop with the questions! How do I stop this!?

Truth #7: Erm....

Truths huh?

1. I might have looked up the Eric and Sookie kiss from Sunday's episode of True Blood on youtube just so i could see it again.

2. The only thing I really want to know about 'Mockingjay' is whether she ends up with Gale or Peeta. (revultion and beating out the higher powers?- sounds like a lot of work to me. yawn.)PS- I'm still ordering the book on amazon. But I want to know who she's with before I start reading.

3. I don't like surprises. Unless its somethign I already knew would happen:)

4. I once had a crush on the kid that played Mimi-siku in that movie Jungle 2 Jungle. Whatever happened to him?

5. I'm a huge potty mouth. I like swear words. They give a perfect sense of emotion whereas 'gal dangit' and other replacements just don't do it for me.

6. I find the more I read, the shorter my attention span.

7. I'm boring myself. Gonna go stare at twitter for a while.

1. I might have watched Jonas L.A. after the child went to bed. And then I might have finished with Hannah Montana Forever.

2. I think that's enough truth to last me.

My Truth: When I was in eighth grade I saw THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK 26 times in the theater with my best friend Trish. We knew every word. And I wore my hair in Princess Leah buns. To school. In eighth grade. Yeah.

I have a baby shower I have to go to this weekend and I'm really NOT looking forward to the games. Knowing this side of the family, they play the gross ones, like the melt-the-chocolate-in-the-diapers-so-it-looks-like-poop game and I will gag the whole time. I loathe that game :P

I've already embarrassed myself far too much lately! I can't seem to do it...

Simon is awesome, and I love him (platonically) but he wishes he could be first as often as I am on this blog.

Sounds like a cool post. I'll go check it out.

My truth is:

I feel pretty bad that I did a nice review of "WriteOnCon.com", and NOBODY that was involved with the event even PEEKED at my posting.

I wish you would PLEASE take a look at my review HERE and if you like it, then send your friends to take a look at it, also.

Have a blessed day.

Thanks a lot,
Cynde

I am having one of those 'everyone is out to get me' days.

Not to be confused with 'everyone is trying to hit me with thier car' days.

My water company says we used 36,000 gallons of water last month. How is this even possible? Normally we use 4. Do we have some sort of waterfall or pool that I am not aware of? They did not think that comment was funny.

Ok, thats it. Done whining.

Where are you going to the beach? I always wonder about people who live in states that aren't on a coast.

Truths for today:

1. I totally panicked when I saw what I had to do to set up my classroom today.

2. After two years of mentoring a young teacher, it felt really good to let HIM help ME today.

3. I was really proud of my daughters when I picked them up without warning and used them as forced labor in the classroom -- and they didn't complain.

My truth: I don't need anymore shoes and I really shouldn't get anymore, but I'm seriously contemplating buying a pair of oxford booties, especially since I saw them online for $20 off store price. ARGH. WHAT TO DO?!

Enjoy your time at the beach! Don't get burned!

Hi, Lisa & Laura! Thanks for sending your blog buddies my way--hope they enjoy the interview. My truth today is that I am bribing my four-year-old with a bowl of chocolate chips (before dinner no less) so that he'll leave me alone long enough to write this comment :) - Stasia

My truth is that I just got a rejection from an agent I love and when I get on Blogger all I can see are posts about people who have just gotten agents/book deals/are expecting their debuts sometime soon (I'm happy for them, truly)... and I'm starting to think that I will never be one of them because in reality, I suck... and I'm always going to be 'that girl who didn't make it'.

Don't call this a comeback

So it’s been a minute. Or 10. Or truthfully more like 2,102,400. At least we think that’s how many minutes there are in 3 years, but let...
