As some of you may or may not have noticed, we recently updated our Twitter profile picture to THIS:
Thanks to Stacey, we have an entire flash drive FULL of awkward childhood pics and we're not afraid to use it. Our goal in this instance was to find one of the most awkward and humiliating and post it for public consumption. Please note the virgin brows, matching letter jackets and most tragic of all, Lisa's clear braces and mock turtleneck with tiny little leaves painted on.
Adele Griffin (who may or may not be a long lost Roecker christened L'Adele) claimed on Twitter that she could out awkward us with THIS:

I'd also like to point out that the black strap across my chest is a purse. It's probably filled with batteries to make it heavy and important-feeling.

And I'm sorry Adele, but you look really pretty in that photo. Yes, Santa's lap makes it a little awkward, but not as much as the LiLa photo.
Is that a tiara on Lisa's heaad. or just a trick of the light?
The second pic makes me think of Empty Nesters.

I think I had virgin brows until my wedding day (at age 21). Not kidding. I remember asking my sister to "fix them" for me because I had no idea how to do it.
I honestly have no idea which one to pick. Sadly, I have been staring at the two photos for like five minutes. And I still can't decide. But I bet I could totally outawkward this.
*runs away to rummage in old photos*
I have given most of this day over to scavenging for the shot in of myself in a WHAM! shirt and artichoke hair and I know I will find it. And then I will claim victory for all of 2011.
LiLa, you two remind me of myself so gotta vote for you two. Gah, I was so awkward. Don't know if I have any teen photos on my computer though. Trust me, that's a good thing. I would definitely win.
