The Top Five Things We Learned This Week

1. We are easily distracted by pretty things. Like these book covers. Ooh, shiny. We're DYING to read all of these books.
Audition by Stasia Kehoe

Shut Out by Kody Keplinger

The Pledge by Kimberly Derting

2. The Liar Society was #87* on Amazon**
*...in kindle, childrens, p&p, social issues, being a teen.
**...from 3:08 PM to 3:21 PM on Thursday March 3rd.

3. Children under the age of 5 really don't give a crap that their moms are officially published authors. Lydia puked all over Laura twice this week and Jack repeatedly told me that I'm an imbecile and he wishes he had a new mommy. I bet J.K. Rowling doesn't have to put up with this crap.

4. Laura's newfound pastime is plugging random numbers in Barnes and Noble's online store search to see if they're stocking The Liar Society. At first I didn't understand why she was calling me and leaving random city names on my voicemail, but I finally caught on. FYI the book is in stock in Clearwater, Florida.

5. We're overthankers. We literally can't stop thanking people for all the support they're showing for The Liar Society. We never in a million years dreamed that so many people would rally behind us to help make this book a success. So we're thanking you. Again. Sorry. That's just how we roll.

Have a fantastic weekend everyone and don't forget to stop back on Monday for The Liar Society's virtual launch party. There will be humiliating footage from our actual launch party and (of course) prizes. Get excited.

PS: Head over to The First Novel's Club. We're talking about kick ass heroines!

Wow, number 2 is very cool. I'm only 100 pages in, but if it keeps going like this I only expect that number to climb ... er, shrink. You know what I mean.

also, i agree with matt. number two's pretty dang awesome.

Yay for a fantastic launch! I was planning on making the drive tomorrow but then I got knocked up and am on bed rest so no, there will not be a headless Candyland wandering around, scaring your children.

Thanks.

Oh and I dedicated a post in your honors this week. There are celebs in the post playing people in my head.

Congrats on such a successful launch!

The kids will come around eventually - I'm sure J.K. when thru similar nonsense before the movies came out. Kids are all about the movies ;-)

I am also easily distracted by pretty things. Which is why I follow this blog.

Congrats on the great ranking, girls. And that's just Amazon. I didn't order mine through Amazon. I wonder if that is just the US sales or if Amazon Canada (didn't order it through them either) will be factored it. Just another thing for you to obsess over. ;)

Is it just me, but does the cover of Kody's book look like Liv Tyler?

Hooray for the ranking! And just FYI, my local B&N only has one copy of The Liar Society left. And it's face out, not spine out!

I'm rushing through my current books, so I can start on yours - I can't wait!

yay! I'm so happy for you guys- I can't imagine what it must feel like to finally have your book in stores. There are exactly THREE copies of liar society available through amazon.fr. One of them will have my name on it soon!

Hooray for all things that are not puking or wiseass children! Congratulations to you both on the fabulousness!!

I sympathize about the children - their validation always takes priority for some reason. And I agree that those book covers are mighty distracting. But they won't distract me from finding my very own copy of Liar Society out in the wild!

Awesome covers!

And... congrats on getting into the top 100.

All 3 books are on my list, too.

Kids have a way of keeping things in perspective, yes?

Big hugs and happy weekend wishes,
Lola

Those are some awesome covers but how awesome is 87? I'm sure that number will shrink! If I don't win a copy soon, I'm going to have to buy one. :)

1. When my baby brain goes away and I finally finish Barista, get an agent and so forth, I will be hiring you for my marketing team. You guys are on fire.

2. I took a big haul from Amazon yesterday, including LIAR SOCIETY, DESIRES OF THE DEAD and about three months worth of Bookanista recommendations. I plan to read during labor since I know that is what Lisa did.

3. I used to live in Tampa, next door to Clearwater. I'm glad they have your book. I can imagine little teens reading it on the beach. This makes me happy.

4. I am super sad I can't be in Cleveland for your book launch. I am huge and uncomfortable. We will eventually see each other's faces. That is a promise.

5. Give the regulator a hug. I miss her.

Woohoo on #2!! And yeah, I'm sure Jo has a nanny or her doctor hubby just cleans it up when her kids puke. Stupid rich lady who created the books that inspired me to want to actually try to get published. Pshaw.

Love the covers, especially THe pledge!

And again, hurray for you guys and The Liar Society!! I loved it, and I'm sure everyone else who reads it will too!

Thanks for the cover love, L&L. Is it me or does the girl on the front of SHUT OUT look like a cross between Liv Tyler and Anne Hathaway? CONGRA-A-A-A-Ts on the LIAR SOCIETY Amazon stats--try to keep them in mind when a puking kid calls you an imbecile!

Donea Lee said...

Wow - you're ranking on Amazon is amazing!! Congrats!! I just got your book from them yesterday ~ :) Can't wait to finish it!!

Krispy said...

Yay! *hugs* Congrats again! I'm excited for the virtual launch since there's no way I can get myself out to your actual launch. You know, unfortunate week for the private jet to be out of commission. :P

Happy weekend!

The covers are beautiful.

And I so feel you about the whole kids-don't-care thing.

I so wish I had a sister to call me with random numbers and names. That sounds too funny!

Congrats on THE LIAR SOCIETY. :) :) :)

I'm still so happy for you two.

I get distracted by book covers as well. Lucky yours is great.

Congrats on the Amazon ranking!

Also, I will be at the launch party tomorrow...er, today now that it's past midnight :P! And perhaps I will convince my younger sister to join me too.

I will be the pregnant woman in pink, LOL :P

It's Monday. It's 7AM. Do you know where your post is?

Don't call this a comeback

So it’s been a minute. Or 10. Or truthfully more like 2,102,400. At least we think that’s how many minutes there are in 3 years, but let...
