The Apocalypse is Nigh

That's right people. The Roecker sisters are officially on Facebook. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Laura wanted to post all of these pictures of herself giving birth in her homecoming tiara, but I shot her down. (I'm totally kidding, but I like to take advantage of any and every opportunity to avenge my little birthday present.)

Anyways, please be our friends. We're not afraid to admit that we could really use some.

In other news, we've joined The Elevensies, a group of YA/MG authors whose debut novels will be published in 2011. You can read all about the members here. And don't forget to check back for updates. We'll continue adding writers to our roster over the course of the next year and we're counting on some of our amazing writer friends joining the ranks!

And remember to enter (and blog!) about our Spread the Love, Win a Kindle contest. Less than 48 hours left!

You guys are getting so high tech with all those buttons on the bottom. Wow!

And if you thought Sitemeter was an addictive time suck, welcome to Facebook! Have you found Word Twist? Word Challenge? Word Whomp Derby? Don't get me started!

Ah Facebook. I don't have one of those yet. But I have a really good reason--It drives my sister CRAZY! She's obsessed with Facebook and cannot understand why anyone wouldn't want one (I get the lecture pretty much every time I see her). Which naturally means I refuse to make one, just to annoy her (I take my role as the annoying little sister VERY seriously) But I'm tempted to make one now, just so I can friend you guys. *Ponders*

Contrary to popular belief (popular being Lisa), I do not wear my homecoming crown when I write, run errands or give birth. It's buried in my "memories" box and shoved at the back of mom and dad's basement. Gosh, Lisa, now everyone has a terrible visual of me pushing out a baby wearing a crooked crown.

Laura - Stop picking fights with me in the comments! The Regulator thinks it's tacky. Let's fight on Skyppe like normal people.

Everyone else - Don't be fooled. Laura wears that tiara everywhere. She can't write a word without it.

Awww, FB! You guys are getting even more technological. Also, The Elevensies sounds like it should be a TV show. I like it.

Maybe a reality show featuring debut authors. I'm sure they can be plenty dramatic. :-)

Oh, Icy Roses, I would so watch a reality show featuring these two sisters! Fun that I can now stalk you on FB.

Ooh, when I get home, I'll friend you. :)

Way cool! Sorry, I'm like Shannon and plan to be one of the last people on earth to join Facebook. And...my older sister is also my reason. She is a stalker and would be so up my business if I did. She has friended every friend of every friend of mine. But haha... she can't friend me!

Anyway, good luck ladies. I know you'll carry on just fine without me. Just don't stop posting here or I'll really feel left out.

Yay! I'll friend you soon. :D Friendly tip: avoid Bejeweled Blitz at all costs. It's more than slightly addicting. >.<

Where is Ms. J?? I have come over from her hee-larious post and can so picture Laura in her tiara :-)

And for the record, the accent is THICK :-)

Tsk tsk, you guys! Bickering in the comments? Do I have to send you to your rooms? Just wait until F. Fackelmayer gets home! He's going to be so disappointed in both of you.

P.S. I've already seen you over at The Elevensies. Stalker? Maybe. Dedicated? If nothing else.

I'm not gonna lie. I was a little saddened when I learned that the whole 'giving birth with a tiara on' thing was false. Sigh.

Tabitha Bird said...

You didn't give birth with the tiara on? Shame. I think that is how I would give birth to number three :) Joking.

All is not lost, Amy, there's still time for you! Maybe Laura will let you borrow it for the big day!

I love the pic you guys have on your FB profile!

You're lucky you'll be out in '11! I'm probably looking at Fall '12 at the earliest!

You're an Elevensie!!!! Yahoo!!!

Laura, don't feel bad . . . I would have totally given birth in a tiara (if I had ever actually had one placed on my head. sigh.).

Be proud.

homecoming tiara? that is a fabulous idea.

SO happy for you both about the book deal! BRAVO!

Don't call this a comeback

So it’s been a minute. Or 10. Or truthfully more like 2,102,400. At least we think that’s how many minutes there are in 3 years, but let...
