Who let the blonde out?

Laura: So what do you think about that lunch over Thanksgiving?

Lisa: Why don't we try to schedule it for Friday?

Laura: Which day is Thanksgiving this year? Isn't it Friday?

Lisa: Um...no. Thanksgiving is Thursday. It's always on Thursday.

Laura: Really?

Lisa: Yeah. Did you seriously not know that?

Laura: That's just not the kind of stuff I know.

This is almost as good as that time when Laura named one of our characters Gregory Hines. I love it when she lets the blonde out.

LOL! That's great! We all have blond moments every now and then. :)

Heh! As a fellow blond--with MANY blond moments--I loved this. For example, I don't even know if it's spelled "blonde" or "blond." That's just not the sort of thing I know. :)

Oh how adorable!!!! I giggled at the Gregory Hines. That one never gets old.

I'm still laughing about Gregory Hines...

Oh wow, that's sweet on a whole new level above sugar! Gregory Hines, the immortal Gregory Hines... I might be the only girl my age who knows who he is, but I shall carry the torch boldly!

As for the Thanksgiving thing, I asked that last year... It doesn't help that I work with horses, and the entire world can go on vacation but horses still need to be fed and be looked after...

Mad snaps to ya'll :)

Haha! That's awesome! I'm not even going to talk about the tattoo I designed once. Let's just say that I'm glad I figured out the double meaning I never saw coming before I got it!

LOL!

At least she did not ask if 'buffalo wings' really came from buffalos.

(spicy chicken wings if you haven't heard of buffalo wings) :))

I only remember Thanksgiving is on Thursday because Black Friday comes the day after.

I think my blonde is showing.

Oh, I don't think you're ever going to match the Gregory Hines incident. :)

LOL!

In Laura's defense, it's not like they label the days like they do for Easter. You know, Good Friday, Something (Somber?) Saturday, and Easter Sunday/Monday.

I think if they called it Thanksgiving Thursday, it would really help.

Love it! I have those days and those moments too :)

Ha! The kind of stuff I don't know astounds me every day.

Thank you Mariah. The Black Friday thing really helps--I guess I never put those two together. But hey, you learn something new everyday, right? Right?

I do, unfortunately, have many, many blonde moments. Damn highlights.

Laura, I can totally sympathize.

During college I worked as a waitress (like just about every woman on the planet) and an older gentleman told me a blonde joke - I DIDN'T GET IT!

I'm still recovering from the embarrassment of that moment! :)

I've always wanted to snicker via internet...

I am glad I'm not the only one with blonde moments! In fact I am such an airhead sometimes, people are taken aback when I tell them I write books. My excuse? My head is always in the clouds (if by clouds you mean engrossed in my latest WIP).

I agree with Laura--who can be burdened with knowing such details. That is why we all have calendars and mothers.

Laughing still! At least only one of you is blonde... my writer sister and I are both blondies. Here is a conversation we had today:

Her: What's the name of that one blogger? You know, the one who lives in Ohio?

Me: I don't know...

Her: She's the one who had that internet stalker.

Me: Oh! You mean Sammie? I didn't know she lived in Ohio.

Her: But you're the one who told me she lives there.

Me: Oh yeah! I guess forgot.

Well, um, guess what. I just checked. Sammie lives in Rhode Island.

Le sigh. I suppose one of us should become a brunette!

LOL my husband asked us which day Thanksgiving was 'this year' and we all just stared at him and laughed a little...

You guys are funny :)

ok, I admit I snickered over this. But really, we all know that brunettes and redheads have their moments too!!!

XiXi said...

Ha, that's okay.

Asians never have blonde moments.

...just kidding. :-)

My husband and I had this same conversation the other night, although *I* was the one having a blond moment. And I'm not even a blond!

Gregory Hines. Hee hee!

JESSJORDAN said...

Ooooh, let the blonde out more often! (Laura, if it makes you feel any better, I had no idea Thanksgiving was always a Thursday until a couple of years back. So yeah. Even the brunettes let the blonde out on occasion.)

Kimberly Derting said...

You should definitely make this a regular feature! Hilarious!!! (from one blonde to another...)

Don't call this a comeback

So it’s been a minute. Or 10. Or truthfully more like 2,102,400. At least we think that’s how many minutes there are in 3 years, but let...
