Ok, I have a horrible confession to make. I didn't participate in Bravo's trashtacular tweet fest last night. I haven't even watched the Real Housewives of NYC finale. I know I've let you all down, but I want you to know that I have a really, really good excuse.
We spoke with Major Agent last night AND she loves our revisions and wants to put us on submission very soon. Like end of next week soon. We've got lots to do in the meantime, things like bios, author photos, synopsis writing...the usual.
But we'll be back over the next couple days with the unveiling of our title for Book 1 and our fancy new website. Get excited.

Such an exciting time for you! I would have skipped tweeting too! Can't wait for the big reveal. :)
That's very exciting! Yay!
OH MY!! This is so cool! I'd be running into walls and giggling incoherently. I can't wait to hear all of the submission saga!
sf
Woo hoo!!! I'm so excited for you girls! Will you say you knew us when? :-D
HOLY MOLY! HOw exciting! I'm so happy for you guys. But you realize that means more waiting right? Better come up with another list of things to keep you busy.
WOOHOOO!
The Housewives can wait! You'll have plenty of time to catch up once you get all the important, super awesome stuff done this week.
What fantastic news!!! It won't be long now ladies. Guess you'll just have to have some more books ready to read during the next waiting period, plus you'll have a lot of TV to catch up on!
CONGRATULATIONS on the hit revisions!
Well, that's easy to get excited about! Fantastic!
OMG, that's awesome, I can't wait for the "WE'RE GETTING PUBLISHED" post...it's coming soon, I can feel it!!!
And Housewives Schmousewives. Soon Bravo will be pounding down your door to do a reality show about the two of you, and it will be uber-glam!
Oh my gosh! I am so excited!!! So much to come! New website! Submissions! Book deals! The title!!
Delish!
How very sad that you missed the finale just for a silly thing like publication. You guys should take a good, strong look at where your priorities lay. :)
Mountains of excitement for you two!
CONGRATS! Submission as early next week - outstanding! Can't wait to see the new website and hear the official title of Book 1!!
I'd say time well spent.
Yayness! woot woot!
Yahoo! Congratulations!
*tosses confetti in the air*
Yay! Excitement and pride are coming your way from my little neck of the woods : ) : ) : )
WOOHOO...So excited for you. Can't wait for the post when you annouce that you've sold the book!
Ok guys, we sent the synopsis, bio, pic and etc to Catherine. Um...now what?
GSG - Thanks! We're very excited and trying to prepare for the long wait of being on sub. I seriously don't know how I'll sleep at night, and yet most people are on sub for months at a time, so I will need to sleep eventually.
Alea - Thanks! Does this mean you'll review our book if we get published? Or is that a conflict of interest?
SF - Yeah, we're a little over-excited over here. I think Major Agent might have lost hearing in one of her ears listening to our squees. V. undignified.
LitGirl - Puh-lease. You're all going to be famous too, so we'll just get together and do whatever it is that famous people do. I have no idea what they actually do, but presumably it involves copious amounts of champagne.
P-Clo - You'd better get started on your list now. The fancy website is almost done. I'm getting the feeling that you guys are going to be subjected to lots and lots of book reviews over the next few months.
Rebecca - TV and books will be the only thing that get us through the long wait! Oh and lots and lots of blogging. You guys are going to be totally sick of the two of us.
Nisa - Thanks! We get excited about things like mint chocolate chip ice cream and the sale rack at Nordstrom Rack, so this kind of puts us in overdrive.
Kimberly - Oh gosh, I really hope that we have the chance to do that post someday. I can't even imagine.
Katie - I know! We're keeping busy now, it's when things slow down that we're going to start to go slowly insane. Guess it might be time to start the sequel...scary.
Tess - I know, I know, our priorities are totally out of whack. What can I say? Sometimes the drama on Bravo just can't compare to the drama of real life. Shocking, I know.
Tara - If you're lucky maybe we'll give you a sneak peek at the website on the playdate from Hades tomorrow. Can't wait to see you!
Sam - I'm still waiting for a You Tube post from you...
Windsong - Thanks for being so supportive! Pretty soon you'll be talking us off the ledge after we've been on sub for 24 hours and are just devestated that we haven't gotten a major publishing deal. Ha!
Klo - Thank you so much! We need all the good vibes we can get right now!
Christine - Would it be presumptious of me to admit that I've already drafted the post announcing our sale? I'm totally kidding...or am I?
i love web site reveals (obviously :)
I think talkgin to super agent who wants to sub ur fabulous book is worth skipping housewifes - did you tivo?
Shelli - Totally TiVo'd. Will watch ASAP...I sort of can't wait.
And for the record, I'm a little nervous for you to see our website. I mean, you're a professional! What if you think it's awful?
OF COURSE I WOULD! I'm so flattered that you would ask that!
That's awesome! Congratulations, you guys. Have fun being real authors :^)
I love that you talk about your bios, pics, synopsis and end with "the usual." I laughed. I want to say the same sentence! I would flick my hand in the air and say, "Oh, you know. The usual." I'd also like to say that about paparazzi, autographs and designers delivering dresses to my door.
I'm so freaking excited for you guys that I just can't stand it! Congrats! I am living vicariously through you!
Sherrie - Real authors!? Ha! That doesn't seem possible...
LMJ - Ok, don't take this the wrong way or anything, but I totally had a dream about you last night. We were at a writing conference and you kept leaving me notes, but we kept missing each other and I was really annoyed because I was excited to meet you. I don't even want to analyze what that might mean. Just keep in mind that I've been consistently missing my curfew this week, so sleep deprivation definitely might be a factor.
I love it! It is a sign. I already told Katie that we should all meet at the Backspace Conf in NYC in 2010! I will totally write you notes:
Roses are red, violets are blue. I'm wearing hooker heels and I can't find you.
Then you'd have to rhyme back in a note describing your shoes. We'd run around looking at everyone's feet.
This is how I met an old friend in a NYC club. I hadn't seen her in ten years, "I'm here. Blonde ponytail and hooker heels." She found me.
