Friday Fail

OK, it's Friday and it's pouring down rain. Again. I think we'll be hitting the gym and the bookstore today so we all don't kill each other. Anyways, it's been an interesting week over here in LiLa land and we've learned a lot.

1. Today is Tiara Day. Laura is all over this as I'm sure you can imagine. I wonder if you get extra points for actually writing your entry while wearing a tiara?

2. We're dreading the weekend. Yeah, it sounds crazy but when you're an aspiring author on submission the weekend means no news. And no news makes us crabby. Really crabby.

3. I think my 4-year-old might be a ninja. I was dead asleep this morning when subconsciously I must have heard the sound of a door opening or maybe I felt Jack's warm breath on my face. I opened my eyes only to find his face about a half-an-inch from my own. I literally jumped out of bed. Jack thought it was hilarious and can't stop talking about it. Keep in mind that he's used to dragging me out of bed every morning. Something tells me I can look forward to many more mornings of the Jedi-mind wake-up.

4. Becca Fitzpatrick needs to buy these shoes. Seriously. Hush, Hush debuts in a few weeks (have you pre-ordered your copy?? If not, you must. Trust me. It's that good) and they match the cover perfectly. Plus she's hard at work revising the sequel, Crescendo. Come on Becca, you know you want them and we want to live vicariously through you!

5. We really need to remember to lock our doors at night. This week someone found our blog by googling "I think I might be turning into a cold blooded killer." Um...scary...

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

My blog is the top hit for 'sparkly vampires and zombie strippers fun'. My grandmother reads my blog, so it's not as inappropriate as those words suggest.

By the way, I love ninjas. (Have you read Paper Towns by John Green? If not you must, you must, you must.)

I'm unfamiliar with tiara day. Must check it out.

Have a very un-dreadful weekend!

Every day is Tiara day for the Story Queen!! (Yes, I own three, and assorted full crowns and whatnot.....sad but true!)

I want those shoes!!

And if you could send some that rain out to SoCal, I'd personally appreciate it. It has been sooo hot here and we have not AC because it's never really too hot here....

help me.....I'm melting......

You have some freaky Googlers! (And that isn't a compliment)

Tiara day, hmmm. Must. dig. through. daughter's. toys...I know she has a tiara in there somewhere. That, or a ninja costume. Either way, I'm good.

Creepy. I wonder if they found your blog at all helpful.
I hadn't heard of Tiara Day, but I see why Laura would be all over it.
Hope your weekend is exponentially better than expected!

Okay, so that's scary.

And, my five-year-old came into our room at 4:00 a.m. fully dressed and ready for school. She got in bed with us and wouldn't stop talking, so I told her to go watch TV until the sun came up. Which she did. I guess the "good mother" thing to do would have been to put her back in her bed.

I must go and find a tiara.

I have a friend who always wears her tiara when writing. Each and every time. And her writing is top notch, so maybe we should all have tiaras.

The real question is, "What in the world is on your blog that leads people to it by googling 'I think I might be turning into a cold-blooded killer'?

Creepsville!

Oh man, I heart those shoes!!!!!!!

I laughed out loud at the jedi-mind-wake up. haha

And how sick that I feel the same way about weekends! My family gets so excited and I think, "durn... no email."

Tiara day is brill. We writer chicks really do need a float or something in a parade. We could all come down here and wear tiaras and stuff and drive in a junky pick-up in some parade or somethin'. whatcha think? It would be even better in the hip metropolis of Cleveland! love it!

#5 is great! Luckily, you have a ninja to protect you ;)

#5. Definitely scary. Maybe you could recruit a vampire or two. I've heard they're great protection, what with them being awake 24/7.

As one author on submission to another...yep, it is SO HARD to wait!

Have a good weekend anyways!!!

I. do. not. own. a. tiara.

Travesty.

I did pre-order Hush Hush and may just buy those shoes to wear while reading it.

I've just learned that I hate the weekends, too :)!

And, oh, those shoes!! I love both colors!

I definitely understand the weekend dread. Nothing happens over the weekend that's business-related, and I'm looking for a few things (emails and packages).

As for your Jack, I can't help but laugh and imagine what you jumping out of bed looks like. :P

Have a good one, LiLa, and good luck with the Tiara Day contest.

Aren't little boys fun? My son used to do the sneaky, wake me up thing until I yelled at him in my sleep once.

Now he sneaks in, hides by the floor and reaches his hand up and taps me on the head. So when I open my eyes all I see is - no one or a hand in my face.
