My ode to HBO

Ok, first off, for the record, I'm not really a vampire girl. I'm more of a Gossip Girl, 90210, anything Bravo conceives of kind of gal. Of course, if Bravo happened to find a fabulous group of gay vampires and decided to chronicle their every move with cameras with a special focus on shopping trips, I would probably do my best to find one and convince them to make me undead too. I'm such a follower.

Anyways, I read Twilight. Every last book. Devoured them in fact. But I was Team Jacob all the way. Edward just didn't do it for me.

So, last summer when True Blood premiered, I tuned in somewhat reluctantly. Critics called it vampire porn, but it was HBO vampire porn and I figured that might be interesting. And I was right. SO right. It's not a show I really want to watch, but it's impossible to stop. Literally impossible. Every single week they end on a cliff hanger that makes me want to scream. Every. Single. Week. People should study this show when they're working on their MFAs because they have tension nailed.

Anyways, this week's episode was the best ever. And let's just say I'm team Eric all the way. Bill = boring. And Edward and company ? They're SO last season.

And as if I didn't love HBO enough already, immediately after the best episode of True Blood ever, they played a preview for the next season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. I feel like I'm watching television history being made when I see previews for that show. Larry David is a freaking genius. A Seinfeld reunion that's not technically a reunion but rather a season of a completely separate unscripted HBO television show? Genius.

Sorry for the randomness. Happy Monday.

Oh God, I can't believe you fell into the True Blood craze too. I am holding out.

I am holding out, I swear.

Lol. I love True Blood but I've not been able to watch it since we lost our cable. Pout.

Anyway, I'm actually going to dress up as Eric for Halloween. now if I could only pull off the muscular look. Lol.

Everyone in the world is in love with this show so at least you're not alone in your addiction! I watched it once and could not get past the vamps with southern accents. Can't do it. But this is a good thing since I really don't need another distraction from writing!

Oh and I've always been Team Edward but I've gotta tell you, I'm all about Patch these days...

My sister previews scripted shows for me (I scare easily) and she tells me True Blood would horrify me. Of course, she's been known to keep all the goodies to herself at parties so maybe that's what this is?

PS: Team Jacob unite! Although, I'm not really a Twibot at all and I steal don't understand why Bella couldn't find a nice, Forks boy and settle down. What was that kid's name - Eric? What a nice boy! The kind you'd want to bring home to your parents.

I had people over and couldn't watch True Blood last night and it was KILLING me. Eric is a Nordic god. Bill is just, um, Bill. And kind of short standing next to Eric.

Couple things here:

1. The Southern accents are bad. B.A.D.

2. I'm all about a Vampire. Love them, really. Eric, however, IS way more believable than Bill. Not loving Bill.

3. Loved Godrick... until my friend told me that he is a child molester in the book. Huh? I ordered the series to confirm for myself.

4. Was totally grossed out about the souffle. Had to hide face in couch cushions.

5. I miss Twilight.

6. You must become addicted to Californication. I just watched Season One this weekend. THAT is porn.

7. I think I just sprouted a pimple from all this teen swooning.

Icy - Just give into it. You know you want to...

Ryan - Bummer about losing cable! I can't live without HBO. I'm a total junkie. Can't wait to see pictures of you as Eric for Halloween!

Rebecca - It's good. The accents don't bother me. I like to think of the whole thing as being very campy. And don't even get me started on Patch. I'm obsessed.

Sarah - True Blood is pretty icky, but it's also entertaining. And Eric makes the whole thing worth watching. You must check it out. HA! And I'm so with on Bella settling down with a nice boy from Forks. Hilarious.

Loretta - Bill is just so blah. Eric...sigh...Eric. Now that is a vampire I can get on board with.

LMJ - I loved Godrick too! He's so chill and relaxed. Like a little Vampire messiah. I do not like that he was a pedophile. And please don't bring up the souffle. I literally could not watch. I don't usually have a weak stomach, but that brought on some serious dry heaves. Gag.

I'm glad I'm not the only team Jacob memeber floating around.

My Hub is quite pleased about Larry David's Seinfeld reunion. And we watch Entourage every week too. Oh, those rogues.

Since we have no TV reception, I shall have to settle for Twilight. O:) Edward was okay, but I liked Jacob better. Of course, Alice knocked them both out of the water when it came down to coolness. O:)
