Here's your first challenge: Do something to support an aspiring writer. Comment on a blog you've never read before, offer to critique a query, be supportive of your peers.

This is a great idea! We could all use some good karma. I love reading about other writers accomplishing great things too.

A very good idea indeed! This is neat and I've already been catching up on my blogs since I've been long MIA from the internet with a whole bunch of craziness! I agree though, love it when good things happen to one of our own!

Hi Lisa and Laura! How about a comment by somebody who reads your blog and has never commented before? Yep, that's me! You two are such fun. (I've seen ya both on Katie and Sarah Frances' blog, of course!).
So here's a jolt of "YES IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU!" I had three books published, got orphaned three times, fell into a "black hole", went 8 years with nothing but close rejections and yet kept writing my heart out and ended up last year with a 3 book deal at Scholastic with a top agent.
IT CAN HAPPEN. IT WILL HAPPEN. JUST DON'T GIVE UP. Meanwhile, keep working your derrieres off!
