Things That Make Me Happy

1. This book. THIS BOOK. You guys need to read this book.

I started this Friday and did not put it down until I finished it on Saturday. Plot, gorgeous writing, exotic settings, characters who make me long for the next book in the series - Daughter of Smoke and Bone has it all.

2.  These boots. And Zappos shoe videos. (AKA Shoe Porn)

All kidding aside, these videos are SUPER helpful when ordering shoes online. And Loretta Nyhan will be pleased to know that I purchased these in black to replace my beloved Uggs and I love them. So much.

3. Pumpkin spice coffee. This is the best birthday present I've ever gotten. EVER. I'm so....alert.

4. Caramel apples. The kids and I spent the day with The Regulator and we made caramel apples. Delicious and fun. This is why I love the Fall.

5. Two amazing manuscripts on my Kindle. Just waiting for me to read them. Bliss.

What's got you happy this lovely Monday morning? Leave a comment and I'll send you a virtual latte.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone rocked my world.

Um... I've got conferences this week, so I'm not feeling very shiny happy. Can't wait for Friday!

LOVE DoSaB. I've already re-read it, and it was even better the second time.

I have to wait a year for the sequel? I may have to break into Little, Brown. For my master plan to work, I'll need ten accomplices...

I just finished Daughter of Smoke and Bone yesterday, and I agree, it was GORGEOUS and funny and sweet and breathtaking.

Basically, all these things on your list make me happy too. I really want a caramel apple now.

I met Laini at a book signing last month and her book is next on my list to read. Can't wait!

After reading the opening pages of Laini's book, I can't wait. I will read it. And I loved the writing. :)

Okay, I'll be waiting for my virtual latte.

Ahhh, Laini Taylor is my current writing hero. I loved DoSaB, loved it, I say. Really, a perfectly satisfying book. And I want the next one immediately. So of course I'm interested in breaking into Little, Brown with Terre.

My hubby is reading it now and says it's good, but as he's gotten past the romantical parts and into the story, his trips to the library are taking longer, so it must be better than just good;)

Don't call this a comeback

So it’s been a minute. Or 10. Or truthfully more like 2,102,400. At least we think that’s how many minutes there are in 3 years, but let...
