The Idea Whore Writes...

I think I'm finally ready to stop slutting it up. That's right bitches, we've found "the one."

And for the record it was my Into the Wild inspired idea and it freaking rocks. I'm not allowed to say anything else because Laura is absolutely convinced I'm going to jinx it. But, I just wrote the first 1,000 words and sent it off to Captain Caution (aka Laura) and I'm so excited I can't even think straight.

I haven't felt this excited about a book in FOREVER. Wait, actually, I remember exactly when I felt this excited about writing a book and it was way back when we started Gmail which became Finding Grace which became A Kate Lowry Mystery: The Haunting of Pemberly Brown.

Hell. Yeah.

P.S.
I'm thisclose to buying a new laptop and I think I'm leaning towards a MacBook. Anyone have thoughts?? I've been a PC gal for years, but I think I might be ready to switch teams.

Wow, this post sounds really dirty if taken out of context. StatCounter should be interesting this week.

yay for new projects! Good luck! So exciting to be so...excited! :)
And yes, go for the Macbook, way more user friendly and far less glitchy!

Wooo, new projects are always exciting!

I have a Mac, and I love it. I would never get a PC again. Although, in the beginning, it was hard because everything is so different. Plus, I had to get Crossover to make my version of MS Word compatible because I didn't want to get the Mac MS Word. But Macs have less viruses, so that's the big win. Mac = me likey.

I just got a new Macbook and I have to say that I don't regret it. The break-up with PC was painful, but the transition has been much easier than I thought.
Also, congrats on finding "the one". I love when ideas are worth getting excited about!

Yay for happiness in book writing!

I have a MacBook Pro and love it. Apples are on a whole 'nother plane than PCs. ;-) Poor little PC sits neglected in the kitchen gathering dust for a reason. Since I'm only as computer literate as the word processor (which only involves typing something in, saving it, and printing), the transition had no pain. Well, except for the pain of all the wasted years on the PC. O:)

I love your new project high! It is a great feeling, isn't it?

Mr. J just bought me a Mac and I switched everything over two days before my PC crashed, hard drive fried. I kept having problems with viruses and I hear that Macs are the way to go. The adjusting has been a little bit of a pain, but it is fast and fancy. I like. Still figuring it out... but I like it.

woo hoo- LOVE that feeling- I am there with you- delved heavily just this week into my third book (the first one I gave up on, the second one I am querying)-good luck!!! oh btw, so then do you also tell/ask your agent about it? how does that work?

DON'T DO IT! I want to throw my Mac out the window. You're a lot more savy than I am though, so you could take a liking to it after awhile. I find myself using my piece of crap PC from work all the time to avoid the frustrations of the Mac. Just my brutually honest opinion.

Wow! I can't imagine what could be better than Gmail a.k.a. Finding Grace a.k.a. The Haunting of Pemberly Brown! Is that the book your agent is shopping now?

CONGRATS on starting a new book!! That is wonderful. Dying to hear what it is about!

I've heard nothing but good things about MAC. Buy a Mac, learn to use it, then when it is time for me to get a new laptop you can show me the ropes!

Holy MACeral!!! There is no decision here. SF and I swear by our MACS. I would die without it.

And as far as your new idea... This post has fired me up for you!!!! Has Agent Awesome heard about it yet?

I have the same question as everyone else...what has Major Agent said about the project???

Hubby keeps telling me Mac, and I stubbornly cling to my PC ways. Let us know what you decide!

Oh, and, WOOHOOOOO!!!! Congrats on the new beginning!

I love my Mac. We have one PC and two Macs. The PC was getting dusty until the kids got desperate and started using it. They complain about it bitterly :)

Congratulations on the "Wild" project. I love that feeling when a story comes together. It is kinda erotic!

Don't call this a comeback

So it’s been a minute. Or 10. Or truthfully more like 2,102,400. At least we think that’s how many minutes there are in 3 years, but let...
