Lisa and Laura's (not so) Infinite Playlist

Yeah, we really need to get a life. I think all of these edits have addled our already feeble brains. The Book (note the capital letters) is pretty much the focus of our entire life these days, which is not necessarily a bad thing since we're knee-deep in revisions.

Honestly, they're coming along really, really well. We've already added around 10,000 words (holy crap!) and we're hoping that it's all good stuff that makes the story more engaging for readers. We can't wait to see what Major Agent thinks of our shiny new version, but it will be a while before we're ready to send it to her, so we'll just have to wait and see.

In the meantime we're doing goofy things like creating theme songs for our characters and playlists for the book. Behold!

Get a playlist! Standalone player Get Ringtones

Feel free to encourage us to get a life in the comments section. I just can't promise that we'll take your advice.

Ahh good taste! I love MGMT! Now I'm bummed I didn't bring my ipod with me today so I could listen to the whole cd!

Y'all are the best! I can't wait to listen :-)

and please DON'T get a life. I like reading about your non-life.

One of the best things about writing is creating playlists for the characters. So. Much. Fun!

Hey I like how you were able to embed a song on your blog. Very clever...at least from it is for a TV baby.

You guys are so much fun! I was just thinking yesterday that I need to branch out and listen to other genres. I went to the philharmonic and listened to "Chill" on satellite today. I felt so grown up. My husband has put me on restriction from listening to anything in the car (with him) that uses the words shawty, aks, yo or what (or a combination of yo/what followed by shawty).

You guys are hilarious! I love your shenanigans!

I need to start listening to more music. It's so calming and for some reason I never turn on the radio!

Hey! I'm new to your blog, but I love your playlist! Have fun with all the editing! I happen to like that process, but I'm a masochist.

Ooh, if Alea says we have good taste in music than it must be true. After all, she's the goddess of all things pop culture.

Katie - No chance of us getting a life anytime soon, so you're probably safe.

Sara - So glad we're not the only people who do this kind of stuff.

Anon - It's actually really easy (otherwise I wouldn't be able to do it!)

LMJ - You are such a hip hop girl, I can totally picture it.

P-Clo - The word shenanigans is made of awesome and I don't think I've heard it used in a sentance by anyone except my dad in like 20 years. Well played.

Grey Street Girl - Thanks for dropping by! I was stalking your blog last night and $5 Friday is maybe the coolest idea ever. I love it! And your photographs are gorge. Look forward to more cyberstalking from the Roecker sisters. It's our specialty.

Oddly enough as I've been starting to read *real* books lately (as opposed to the Med/surg nursing books - bleck) I've been re-learning all these cool and fun words I've forgotten about! I do like using old school words for some reason! I'm a total literary nerd like my sis says - lol. Just a little dusty is all...

Words/phrases I plan to use henceforth:

henceforth(done)

fortwith (I plan to use this word fortwith - Ah done).

privy (as in privy to information or I had to use the privy...haven't decided which context...leaning toward the latter)

joshin' (as in just joshin' with you!)

and last but not least:
preposterous

;)
Isn't it preposterous that I choose to indulge in your shenanigans henceforth? Maybe not but I must be gone fortwith for I have to use the privy!

Just joshin' with you!

Um...I know. I'm a dork. You can stop being my friend if you want.
:)

P-Clo - you are hilarious and I think henceforth we should have a weekly challenge to incorporate one extraordinarily random word or phrase into a post a week.

We could start with something like "ideate." And yes it sounds like a word that George W. Bush made up, but it's legit. I googled it.

We have an accord.

Okay so I didn't find that in any book...I borrowed it from Capt. Jack Sparrow. ;) I'm pretty sure it isn't correct grammar but anyhoo!

Don't call this a comeback

So it’s been a minute. Or 10. Or truthfully more like 2,102,400. At least we think that’s how many minutes there are in 3 years, but let...
